Getting Around the City is Easy with Car Share!

Everyday, millions of Torontonians are on the move, many city dwellers prefer commuting with the TTC, carpooling, and ride hailing. But when you need to go the distance, car sharing can be the most cost effective and the least time consuming.

Car sharing in the city is an evolving industry that has a vast market full of options for riders to choose from. Most car share companies are subscription based, enabling the consumer to pay one fee, and drive wherever they need to go, in or out of the city. Toronto is home to a wide variety of car sharing companies. Below are the top three companies in the city, which have the added bonus of gas and insurance included in their subscription.

Greenrock Property Management and its 4,000 Residents Make Big Community Impact This Holiday Season

As a company, Greenrock has at its core a deep commitment to giving back. Whether it be through our furnished charitable suites (used at no cost to families of out-of-town patients at several Toronto hospitals), our building-wide food drives, or other initiatives

throughout the year — it’s important for us to not only provide high-quality housing for our residents, but to foster and build community.

It’s in that spirit that we wanted to do something different this year by putting our residents at the helm of our holiday giving program. Earlier this year, Greenrock, through the Greenrock Charitable Trust, earmarked $100,000 to be donated on our resident’s behalf and asked them to vote (online and at our six buildings across the city) on which charities they think make the biggest impact on the communities in which you live.

After the votes were counted, the list was narrowed down to five amazing organizations: Camp Oochigeas, Casey House, The Redwood, SPRINT Senior Care, and Stella’s Place, with each charity receiving $20,000 on behalf of Greenrock’s residents.

On December 17th 2018, Greenrock staff and residents gathered with representatives of each charity to facilitate these donations.

It was a great event and a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from each of these wonderful organizations about the important work they do and the impact that our donation will make on our community.

On behalf of Greenrock Property Management we’d like to thank each of our residents across this city for being a part of this important initiative –it’s proof that we can make a real impact if we work together.
