Maybe you are too tight for time to do your crunches, or you feel like all those jumping jacks and squats are ineffective. We can’t make the workouts easy, but at least you can do them from the comfort and privacy of your Davisville Village apartment.

 

15 Minute Beginner Workout

 

This easy to follow home workout video is a great for beginners. It focuses on form and building strength, but don’t expect it to be a breeze. All you need is 15 minutes. You can do this!

 

Short Circuit

 

This 20 minute Short Circuit workout packs a lot of intensity into a short amount of time. It requires no equipment so you have now excuses! It’s a circuit of 6 exercises to work your whole body. You complete each circuit (all 6 exercises without stopping), take a 2 minute rest and then repeat. Complete each circuit 3-4 times, or as many times as you can in 20 minutes.

 

Bodyweight Burnout

 

Ok, say you found an excuse not to do the workout above because you couldn’t find the 20 minutes. This Bodyweight Burnout also requires no equipment and packs a full body, intense workout into just 13 minutes. There is a video to show you how to perform each exercise. Perform each of the exercises for the prescribed amount of time, then rest for 15 seconds between each exercise. When you complete all 6 exercises, take a 30 second rest to complete round 1, do it all over again and you’re done!

 

30 Minute Bodyweight Workout

 

This 30 Minute Bodyweight Workout is all you need to work your whole body from the comfort of your Greenrock at Davisville Village apartment. All your basic bodyweight exercises are represented from tuck jumps and mountain climbers, to tricep dips, jump planks and more! Perform 3 rounds of 12 to 15 repetitions of each exercise with a maximum 30 second break in between rounds. Go!

 

Bodyweight Gauntlet

 

This one is not for beginners. If you still think you can’t get an intense, full body workout at home, you may be ready for theBodyweight Gauntlet. It uses 4 simple, basic exercises — push-ups (any variation), pull-ups (bar required), squats and burpees. You do each exercise for three full minutes, keep track of your reps, and see how fast you can progress. Are you ready to throw down the gauntlet?!

You may want to make some extra sauce since it will keep in the fridge for up to a week. Best of all, it’s super easy to whip up.

 

Lemon and Garlic Roast Chicken

 

This Lemon and Garlic Roast Chicken is the perfect Sunday dinner. A whole roasted chicken is stuffed with lots of garlic, lemon and fresh thyme.You can feed a crowd with this recipe or enjoy it solo all week long. It requires only about 20 minutes of hands-on preparation time and it’s ready in an hour and fifteen minutes.

 

Butterflied Grilled Whole Chicken

 

Roasting isn’t the only way to prepare a whole chicken. Before you give up grilling for the season, make this Butterflied Grilled Whole Chicken. Its seasoned with your favourite herbs and spices and is ready in far less time than a traditional roasted chicken. This recipe requires about 10 minutes of prep time and only 40 minutes of cooking time.

 

Poached Whole Chicken

 

Poached Chicken goes a long way. It makes a tasty chicken dinner and a delicious broth at the same time. You can use that broth for many other recipes. All you need to do is place the chicken in a pot, cover it with water and add whatever seasonal vegetables and herbs that you have on hand. Bring it all to a boil and simmer for about an hour an and twenty minutes.

 

Slow Cooker Whole Chicken

 

What could be better than coming home after a long day to the delicious smell of chicken that is ready to eat?! This Slow Cooker Whole Chicken makes that dream a reality and only takes about 5 minutes to prepare. You can season it anyway you like before placing the whole bird in your slow cooker. If you want a crispier skin, simply pop the cooked chicken in a pot under the broiler in your oven for a 3 to 5 minutes until crispy.

Cranberry Orange Upside Down Cake

 

This Cranberry Orange Upside Down Cake is perfectly sweetened with brown sugar and perfectly spiced with ginger and cinnamon. It’s called ‘upside down cake’ because of the way it’s baked. The fruit is added first and the batter for the crust is poured over top. It can be prepared in about 20 minutes, and then baked for 35 to 40 minutes before inverting the cake while it’s still warm.
